Other Services

In addition to laboratory analyses, we also offer on site services, such as core description and analysis of sedimentary facies, water quality sampling (turbidity & nature of suspended solids), and soil-geomorphic evaluation.

We also offer training to individuals or groups interested in learning more about sandstone diagenesis & reservoir quality, clay mineralogy, or forensic applications of geological & mineralogical analysis. Pricing for such training depends upon the number of participants and other factors related to the needs of the audience. Call or email with your needs.

Clay minerals form in response to unique environmental conditions and often yield important information pertaining to geologic history or fluid sensitivity.  Willamette Geological Service offers detailed interpretative reporting of reservoir completion challenges and diagenetic history.  We specialize in data integration and are pleased to provide quality control and re-interpretation of client-provided mineralogical data.

Outcrop description and sampling

Suspended sediment sampling and analysis of non-point pollution sources.

Examples of environmental studies where clay minerals played an important role in tracking non-point source pollutants may be found at www.willamettegeologicalservice.com/openfilereports/.
